Terms of Service

1. Definitions

• "SuloBase" — the Backend-as-a-Service platform operated by Sulocorp Technologies Limited
• "We / Us / Company" — Sulocorp Technologies Limited, trading as SuloTech, incorporated in Zambia
• "You / Customer" — the individual or entity that has created a SuloBase account
• "End Users" — individuals who access applications you build using SuloBase
• "Project" — a provisioned SuloBase instance including its database, storage, and API
• "Content" — all data, files, and information stored in your SuloBase project

2. Eligibility & Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years of age to create a SuloBase account. By registering, you represent that:

• All information you provide is accurate and current
• You have the legal authority to accept these Terms on behalf of any organisation you represent
• You will maintain the security of your account credentials

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at tech@sulocorp.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Description of Services

SuloBase provides hosted backend infrastructure including PostgreSQL databases, authentication, file storage, realtime subscriptions, edge functions, and auto-generated APIs — provisioned and managed on your behalf on Zambian cloud infrastructure.

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. Material changes to core services will be communicated at least 30 days in advance.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use SuloBase to:

• Store, transmit, or process content that is illegal under Zambian law
• Distribute malware, spyware, or any malicious code
• Conduct unauthorised penetration testing or attacks on our infrastructure
• Mine cryptocurrency without our explicit written consent
• Resell or white-label SuloBase services without a written partnership agreement
• Violate the intellectual property rights of any third party
• Send unsolicited bulk email (spam) through our systems
• Store or process child sexual abuse material or any content that exploits minors

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy without prior notice.

5. Payment & Billing

Payment Terms

• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance
• Prices are in Zambian Kwacha (ZMW) and include VAT where applicable
• Failed payments may result in service suspension after a 7-day grace period
• Refunds are available within 7 days of a charge for annual plans only. Monthly plans are non-refundable

Plan Changes

You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.

6. Your Data & Content

You own your data. SuloBase does not claim ownership of any content you store in your projects.

By using SuloBase, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, back up, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

You are solely responsible for:

• The legality of all data you store and process
• Compliance with Zambia's Data Protection Act No. 3 of 2021 in relation to your end users' data
• Obtaining appropriate consent from your end users
• Implementing appropriate Row Level Security (RLS) and access controls within your projects

7. Uptime & Service Levels

We target 99.9% monthly uptime for the SuloBase platform. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated at least 48 hours in advance.

Service credits for downtime below the SLA target are available on Business and Enterprise plans. Credits are applied to future invoices and are the sole remedy for downtime.

8. Termination & Suspension

You may cancel your account at any time from your dashboard. Upon cancellation:

• Your project and all associated data will be deleted within 7 days
• You will retain access until the end of your current billing period

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, fail to pay, or engage in activity that threatens the security or stability of the platform. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before suspension except in cases of serious policy violations.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Zambian law, Sulocorp Technologies Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of SuloBase.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim.

SuloBase is provided "as is." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted service.

10. Intellectual Property

SuloBase is built on open-source software (primarily Supabase, licensed under Apache 2.0). The SuloBase brand, product name, and UI design are the property of Sulocorp Technologies Limited.

You may not use the SuloBase name, logo, or branding without our written permission.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lusaka, Zambia.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of SuloBase after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
